We work in conjunction with your Doctor or other Health Professional, for the provision of a quality health care service. Our experience emanates from the early arrival of Foot Bath Detox Treatments some 10 years ago approximately.. Total Foot Detox owner and health professional requires a patient relationship of trust and confidentiality. Our experience comes from an integrated research as a client of the health system in searching for answer to detoxifying the body. Clinical result from the owners medical and pathology data helped form our knowledge.
Client information of personal nature is handled in accordance with consistency’s in the privacy policy legislation and Total Foot Detox health practices. Patients are entitled to have access to their information and know what information is held about them, and how and under what circumstances they may obtain access to that information. How it is disclosed how it is stored, and when consent is required for these purposes.
Should you wish to discuss these matters every effort will be made at the beginning of the health care data collection period at the beginning of each treatment. It is possible that a patient may come from information off a website, referral, brochure, other health professional, and is not practical for a patient to be aware of these matters at the time. Collection and disclosure of your information.
A clients information and medical history or current medical condition is needed to determine if a detox treatment is suitable for a client in collecting accurate medical diagnoses for the suitability of the treatment. In collecting this information from a client it is done in a fair way and generally from the client with the clients consent. Other circumstances may occur from time to time where information may be received from others.. If this occurs we will where ever possible, endeavour to inform the client this has occurred.
Use of your information.
Some health information systems require information to be shared with medicare, and private health funds, government bodies, if relevant, for billing and rebate purposes. Client care requires full knowledge of information health information by all members of a health team to ensure the best care. Skould we be asked by a government body to disclose personal information it is because we are legally bound. Client information is kept after their last treatment at this practice as long as it is required by law or is prudent to be held for administrative requirements. Information that is no longer required is shredded, and disposed of safely.
Access
A client has the right to access their information. They may ask for a copy or review the information in part or the whole record. A client is not required to give a reason for their request, a patient client may be asked to clarify the scope of their request. Some circumstances of access may be denied access, but if such an event the client will be advised of the reason. A charge may be payable where the practice incurs costs in providing access. It will be dependent on the scope of the access.
Information access and copyright
Some material of the practice is subject to conditions such as publication and copying without our permission. If the client finds information held on them that is not accurate by this practice or other health agency, the client has the right to have that information corrected accordingly.
Request for information
A request for patient information by another health service provider, will be made available in the interests of client care. Parents/guardians and children’s information may be restricted on the basis of professional judgement of the health professional and consistent with the law. In restricting information to parents/guardians.
